Urban Atlas — illuminated street-art sculpture

Urban Atlas is a sculpture-lamp in which the classical motif of a world carried on the shoulders meets the language of the street. A kneeling figure holds up a large sphere on outstretched arms, glowing from within with warm golden light. The entire surface — body and sphere alike — is covered in a dense layer of graffiti: splashes of red, yellow, blue and violet, tags, lettering and loose contours laid over one another as on a city wall. Once lit, the sphere transforms the whole piece: the colours shine through and the patterns cast coloured reflections onto the wall. Switched off, the sculpture remains a bold, colourful decorative object.

The work is entirely handmade — shaped, hand-painted layer by layer and finished by hand, so the distribution of the marks, lettering and contours is unique to every piece. It suits modern, loft and youthful interiors: a living room, bedroom, teenager's room, study, club or creative office space. Placed on the floor, a sideboard or a low table, it serves as both sculpture and an atmospheric light source. Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth. Check the cable and light source before use.
