Black Gorilla — geometric decorative sculpture

Black Gorilla is a bold, powerful form built entirely from sharp polygonal facets. The figure is caught at its peak moment — legs wide apart, arms raised, mouth open in a gesture of dominance and strength. The reduction to geometry takes nothing away from the anatomy: the massive shoulders, muscular chest and heavy hands remain perfectly legible, while every edge catches the light differently, creating a restless play of reflections and shadows across the surface. The uniform deep black finish with its soft sheen underlines the monumental character of the piece and lets it act as a sculptural statement in any space.

The work is entirely handmade — shaped, sanded and hand-finished, so slight variations in the run of the edges and in the lacquered surface are a natural feature of craftsmanship.
