Sunny Palm — pop-art decorative sculpture

Sunny Palm is an energetic, graphic form that brightens a room by its presence alone. The broad crown is built from five softly curved leaves in a saturated warm yellow — a colour full of sunshine and holiday optimism. Each element is outlined with a strong black contour, so the sculpture reads like an illustration lifted into three dimensions. The slender trunk is covered with rhythmic hand-drawn ripples, and the whole piece sits on a rectangular base in contrasting black with a yellow band. The high-gloss lacquer makes the surface reflect light and its surroundings, so the sculpture stays alive and shifts along with the room.

The work is entirely handmade — shaped, sanded, hand-painted and lacquered, so small variations in the contour lines and in the strokes along the trunk are a natural feature of craftsmanship and a mark of its authenticity. It works beautifully as a warm accent in a living room, hallway, child's room, study or commercial space — on a sideboard, console, windowsill or shelf. It also makes a well-judged gift for anyone who loves bold colour and pop-art style. Care: wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
