Red Gorilla — geometric decorative sculpture

Red Gorilla is a sculpture nobody walks past without looking. The figure is caught at its most expressive — legs planted wide, arms raised, mouth open in a gesture of strength and confidence. The whole silhouette is built from sharp polygonal facets that simplify the anatomy without ever obscuring it: the massive shoulders, muscular torso and heavy hands remain perfectly recognisable. The finish in an intense, saturated red with a mirror-bright gloss makes every edge catch the light differently, filling the surface with highlights and reflections of the room around it. This is a piece in the pop-art spirit — bold in colour, monumental in presence.

The work is entirely handmade — shaped, sanded, hand-painted and lacquered layer by layer, so slight variations in the run of the edges and in the lacquered surface are a natural feature of craftsmanship. The sculpture belongs in modern, loft and minimalist interiors, where it acts as a powerful splash of colour against white and grey: a living room, hallway, study, showroom, hotel lobby or office. Care: wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners.
