Quiet Moment — figurative sculpture "Seated Girl"

Quiet Moment is a delicate figurative sculpture of a seated girl, legs hanging down and arms folded across her chest. The figure is elongated and simplified — a slender body, a gently lowered head and half-closed eyes create a mood of reflection and stillness. The fragile body is set against an abundant, spreading hairstyle formed from irregular flowing waves that surround the face like a crown. The whole piece is covered in a matte patina in a cool blue-green tone, with worn highlights that bring out every irregularity of the surface. The construction allows the figure to sit on an edge — a shelf, sideboard, countertop or wooden block — with the legs dangling freely.
