Faithful Guardian — figurative sculpture "Dog"

Faithful Guardian is a sculpture of a seated dog with a large, dignified build — back upright, ears raised, gaze turned to one side in a posture of calm vigilance. The character of the work comes above all from its texture: the entire silhouette is covered with a dense arrangement of sharp carved planes and tool marks, as if the figure were only just emerging from the material. This raw, hewn surface never blurs the anatomy — the musculature of the chest, the line of the shoulder blades and the placement of the paws remain perfectly legible. The uniform matte black strengthens the effect: light catches on every edge, creating a restless play of half-shadows across the body that shifts with the time of day.

The sculpture is entirely handmade — modelled, carved and hand-finished by the artist, so the arrangement of the cuts, the depth of the texture and the surface pattern are unique to every piece. It belongs in interiors with strong character: a living room, hallway, study, library, lobby or gallery space — placed on the floor, it becomes a natural focal point. An exceptional gift for a dog lover. Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth or dust gently with a brush.
