The Source — abstract sculpture with natural stone

The Source is an abstract composition built around a single central motif — an oval stone in a warm honey-and-milk tone, set into a round, radially incised disc. With its smooth polished surface and natural veining, the stone acts as the nucleus of the whole form, the point around which everything else is organised. From the upper edge of the disc rise three slender, mirror-polished shoots ending in droplet-shaped heads, reaching upward like young stalks. Contrast is the governing principle here: the raw, textured surface of the disc and support set against the gleam of the shoots, the cool patina of the metal against the warmth of the stone. The piece stands on a solid block of dark granite with a striking crystalline pattern.

The sculpture is entirely handmade — modelled, cast, hand-incised and patinated, with the stone and the base block selected individually, so every piece differs in texture, patina tone and stone marking. It belongs in interiors with character: a study, living room, library, gallery or executive office. Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth.
